AJA has released the version 7.5 of their drivers. It solves issues that concerned only OnTheAir Video with drivers 7.1. The issue was that the AJA board would not be available for output in OnTheAir Video. The solution for that was to downgrade to version 7.0 of the AJA drivers. We are very happy to say that this is not the case anymore and that you can install the drivers 7.5 with OnTheAir Video. Just remember as usual to be very cautious when you do upgrades. Try to test it if possible on another computer first. We try to run as much test as possible with as many configurations, codecs and workflow, but can not guarantee we have tested every configurations.
The next important information about these drivers is that it enables to use multiple AJA cards on one Mac. the tricky thing is that you need to start AJA Control Panel to tell each application which card it should use. Check on AJA’s website for more informations.
